PC requirements

The store page's minimum spec is deliberately modest:

  • OS: Windows 11
  • Processor: 2 GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: 3 GB video memory
  • DirectX: version 10
  • Storage: 2 GB available space

Controller support is listed as a launch feature, as are Steam Cloud saves and Family Sharing.

The demo, and what happens to its saves

The developers released an updated demo on launch day at 1 PM BST, five hours ahead of Early Access, specifically so new players could get a head start. Two rules come with it:

  • Older demo saves no longer load. The game changed enough between demo versions that previous save files are incompatible, and you have to start a new game.
  • Updated demo progress carries into the full game. Anything you do in the 12 October demo build is meant to come with you.

That combination is why so many players in the discussions were asking about lost save data: a save that will not load is almost always an older-format demo save rather than a bug.

Is Early Access worth it right now?

The developers are direct about the shape of this build: about half the story, the temple up to Level 19, eleven villagers and relationships capped at Level 3. In exchange you get the whole simulation layer — farming, fishing, cooking, crafting, building, decorating and village restoration — plus a roadmap that runs to 1.0 in early 2027.

If what you want is the finished story, the honest answer is that it does not exist yet. If what you want is a cosy life sim you can put a hundred hours into while it grows, the roadmap is the page to read next.
