Early Access shipped on 12 October 2026 with about half the story, the temple to Level 19 and eleven villagers. The next update is a Village Expansion with four new NPCs; 1.0 is targeted for early 2027.
Moonfrost entered Early Access on 12 October 2026 with roughly half of the main story, the temple up to Level 19, and eleven villagers whose relationships cap at Level 3. The developers have published what comes next: a Village Expansion update with four new characters, and a 1.0 they are aiming at for early 2027.

The next update: Village Expansion
The roadmap's next column is a Village Expansion update, and it is aimed squarely at the two things Early Access holds back — more people and more story:
- Four new NPCs to meet, with friendships extended up to Level 5.
- More stories and village developments to discover.
- Additional temple areas, and more temple puzzles and challenges.
- Quality-of-life features that the team has not detailed yet.
1.0 and beyond
The developers' stated goal is version 1.0 in early 2027, and the roadmap's last column describes that release as the full main storyline plus further progression beyond what Early Access offers: deeper relationships, full temple progression, and more areas and discoveries. The team has been careful to say the plan can change as development continues and feedback comes in — the roadmap itself carries that caveat.
Languages
The demo launched in English and Spanish. Simplified and Traditional Chinese came through the Asia publishing partnership with iterco, Japanese followed, and Indonesian was added on Early Access launch day. Korean and Thai are both listed as coming, and the team has said in the discussions that it will look at more languages as the game grows.
Where these plans came from
Everything above is from the developers' own launch announcement and its roadmap graphic, the "Moonfrost enters Early Access on October 12th" post that itemised the launch contents, and the pinned FAQ in the Steam discussions. If a plan changes, the announcement stream is where it will change first.
